Rich Emberlin to Speak at Annual Dinner Meeting
Detective Rich Emberlin, Swat Team Elite Tactical Unit, Dallas TX to speak at annual meeting on March 31, 2016 at the Landmark in Jamestown. Rich Emberlin has been a member of the Dallas Police Force for nearly thirty years, serving as a Patrol Officer, SWAT Entry Team Leader, and Dignitary Protection Squadron member. He’s also been granted certification by the state of Texas as a Master Police Officer. In addition to his work with the Dallas Police Force, Rich has also served as a technical director for several Outdoor Channel television programs and motion pictures, and as a security instructor for Safariland/BAE Systems. Rich brings his wealth of experiences with the Dallas Police Force, including his security responsibilities as a Dallas Security Liaison to all of the Federal agencies that provide critical protective services (i.e. United States Secret Service, Capitol Hill Protection Detail, U.S. Marshals, etc.). Additionally, Rich worked as a Law Enforcement Liaison at Craft International, the security contract firm which was owned and operated by Chris Kyle. Kyle was the U.S. Navy Seal who became known as “the most lethal sniper in U.S. military history,” and whose career is recounted in Clint Eastwood’s Academy Award-winning film, “American Sniper” (2012). The film was based on Kyle’s autobiography which bore the same title and ran for 37 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list. It was in that year that Kyle’s life was cut short by a young U.S. Marine veteran who had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and was said to be suffering from severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after his return from duty in the Middle East. The unfortunate event made news around the world. It’s Rich’s will to make known the true character of Chris Kyle; “things you never hear about Chris in books or in the media. Chris’ selfless spirit; the benevolence, generosity, and kindness he showed so many people, whether off or on the battlefield, at work or at home that lives on.”
